I had a 503cx as my first hasselblad and then I sold it to get the 503cw. I don't find much of a difference, except that u can use a winder. Another diference it has is that the 503cx had a switch next to the shutter release. with the options of T and O. My 503cw doesn't have that, it just has a shutter button.

The 501CM (1997-2005) improved upon the 501C, using the new mirror design of the 503CW. 503cw has the gliding mirror system which is nice if you use a long lens. 503cx has a body-cocked indicator, the 503cw does not.
